AUSTIN RAY HUFFMAN

As the third generation Huffman in San Diego apartments, Austin Ray Huffman focuses on the acquisition and disposition of multifamily investment opportunities throughout San Diego county and strives to provide excellent service for his clients. Austin has been around apartment buildings since he was a child and has learned many intimate details of the apartment business from his Father, Grandfather Ray Huffman, and family members.

Austin is one of the partners of Zorbas, Huffman, and Partners of Marcus and Millichap in San Diego’s Del Mar office. During his first year at the firm, Austin won "Rookie of the Year" and in 2019, he won the "Rising Star" award for being the number one agent in his office under three years tenure. In 2020, Austin was recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as the "Rising Star," an award of excellence given to the number one up-and-coming commercial agent in San Diego. During his career, Austin has listed and closed more than $350 million in commercial real estate transactions.

Huffman’s knowledge of market trends, financing, and competing properties is thorough, and further enhances his ability to defend and substantiate aggressive pricing and financial assumptions in today’s market. Austin successfully navigates the challenges and variables in an ever-changing real estate market; others view his consistent success as both a model and harbinger of the strength of the San Diego market’s stability, security, and growth outlook by investors both in and out of San Diego County.

Austin and his wife Aubrey reside in North Park, the area where Ray Huffman built hundreds of his apartment buildings. Huffman is the onsite property manager for his 21-unit apartment building. In his free time, Austin likes to travel, enjoy Balboa Park with his friends, and play golf and tennis.

STEVE HUFFMAN

Steve Huffman has spent the last 35 years specializing in multifamily real estate. His extensive multifamily experience includes brokerage, ownership, management, and financing. Steve is the youngest son of San Diego’s most prolific apartment developer, the late Ray L. Huffman of Huffman Construction. Steve is proud to use his family’s background in construction, management, rehabilitation, financing and sale of apartment buildings. Over his brokerage career, he assisted clients on the successful closings of over 300 apartment escrows on properties ranging from 5 to 408 units throughout the western United States.

Based in San Diego, Huffman Properties Inc. is run by Steve and his son Austin. Steve is also the Co-Managing Partner of Atlas Management Group LLC in San Diego and the managing partner of KHF Holdings LLC.  Through all of these entities, Steve touches on all aspects of apartment ownership throughout multiple states, managing over 1,000 apartment units throughout Southern California, Oregon, Arizona, and Missouri. 

Steve resides in Carmel Valley with his wife Paige Huffman. In his free time, he enjoys to travel, snowboard, and play tennis and golf. He also volunteers as the president of two different Home Owners Associations and as a board member of Santa Fe Christian School in Solana Beach.
